In Comparison #52 [Tokina 11-16 vs Sigma 10-20] I compared Tokina 11-16 and Sigma 10-20 at 11mm.
11mm is the largest focal length for Tokina so we can only get the same photo (point of view) if we also set Sigma to 11mm. If you want to compare 2 lenses the same focal length please check Comparison #52 [Tokina 11-16 vs Sigma 10-20].
However in this comparison, I also wanted to show you both lenses at their widest focal length. So in this comparison Sigma is set to 10mm and Tokina is set to 11mm. Naturally point of view changes when there is 1 mm change in local length, yet you can compare the lenses in their widest focal lengths.
I think this also gives you an good idea of how important that 1 mm is. You can see how much more area Sigma can cover in 10mm against 11mm of Tokina.
To demostrate this for their narrowest focal length I also added photos of Sigma at 20mm and Tokina at 16mm. So you can also see how much zoom Sigma can make in 20mm against Tokina's 16mm.
Since point of views are different, this is not a good comparison for testing of sharpness. For comparing sharpness of two lenses, please check Comparison #52 [Tokina 11-16 vs Sigma 10-20].
This comparison is just to point out focal length differences of lenses and how much area they can capture.
